First Entry

O.K. Anyone and everyone interested in my progress with my new found love of blacksmithing can now follow along and comment at will. (Can you say run on sentence much?)

So, as it begins, I've started my endeavor with the wonderful blacksmith intro course that my wife was ever-so-gracious to put me through. Actually it was a basic forge building and introduction to Blacksmithing course provided at the Hennepin Community and Technical College taught by Heather Doyle. (More on Heather later.) The class was oh so cool and reawakened my love of tinkering and design.

In this class I built my first propane mini-forge. Just a little tinkering number made out of an old freon tank. As anyone who knows me can vouch I just HAD to expand on my first forge and make it bigger and better.

For now here is a picture of my first Propane Forge.
